Daniel Beckerman; well know within the publishing circles for his PIG publication brings us this range of "retro" shades. Top quality hand made craftmanship, Carl Zeiss lenses and a price tag that is very easy to deal with! Fred Segal has been doing fantastic with them to date, and hopefully you will see them popping up in a few more doors come summer. As you can see the magazines seem to like them ...

Went for dinner last night in LA at this Japanese spot in Little Tokyo. It's a pretty cool spot (if you can find it). Really nice atmosphere, service was fantastic, but most importantly food was good! The fish was VERY fresh and was actually better as sashimi as opposed to the rolls. Worth checking out if you are in the area! OH, and R23 means "restaurant between 2nd and 3rd. Owner was pretty impressed that we figured that one out!

Back in the day?(SURPRISE its Back)

  How does a brand with over 30 years to their name re enter the marketplace with a bang.  They do a surprise collaborative Stadium Jacket with a fun letter explaining the resurgence of a brand.  In4mation has gotten the biggest and most flattering surprise this year from the people at Starter.  We remember having them snap back hats and actually trying to collect certain ones because of the color combinations.  Thanks so much to all the people at Starter and this item will not be for sale.

So there is this relatively unknown artist who is a fan of Creative Recreation named Corey Bradley. He sent us in this picture of a painting he did and we where all REALLY IMPRESSED! Yes, it's a little scandalous! But it's art and it's beautiful. It's our opinion that he will not be "relatively unknown" for much longer.

Blue Ribbon Sushi & Grill

went to the new Blue Ribbon restaurant for the 2nd time in the month it has been open. FYI, as good as their other spots are i have only been to them a handful of times in the YEARS they have been around! that's how good the new spot is !!! I highly recommend checking it out and if you do please try the miso cod, the bone marrow and the grilled oysters ... OH and the steak is sick as well! hey - it aint all about the clothing!

The Year Of... INTERNATIONAL !

The Year Of has found a home in some of the best shops in the USA for the past year. More recently it has found a home in some of the most prestigious doors in Asia and the UK. Well done Mr. Magnetic !

Daytona Magazine has graced us with a Double Page Spread covering our Fall/Holiday 07 line. Daytona is a great magazine in Japan that is dedicated towards cars, fashion, food and culture. Be sure to try and see their sister Magazine called Blue.

NEXT MAGAZINE TAIWAN

NEXT MAGAZINE out of Taiwan has visited the store and did a little feature of streetwear in Hawaii. Take a look at the employees of In4mation kitted in Sinful Things. I think Taiwanese were very fond of them Sinful Tees. Thanks Sophia!

ELIE AKIBA - OUR HERO!!!

So everyone is big fans of the Lulu's stores down in Florida. Here in the showroom we all love what he is doing both down there as well as his expansion into the NY scene. Anyways - we saw some pics posted from his recent store opening on Lincoln road of the new Christian Audigier store! Now we are not only fans of the stores, we are also ENVIOUS of HIM! Congrats Elie !!! Best of luck!!! (with the store - not the girls!)

The Year Of... x Simon Birch

Good day all. I have mentioned to a few of you about a special project that the year of... x simon birch will be launching here in Hong Kong in a few weeks, we have collaborated on a special art project. Simon is a friend of mine that I met here in Hong Kong at one of his gallery exhibitions.

The day after we met, I simply approached him to work on a collabo and he was psyched. He said he heard about the year of... and tony magnetic and would be pumped to do it... I was more then excited!!!! Our first project was for a museum installation in singapore. I simply executed some t shirts for him with some graphics he developed to tell a story about life... the 7 icons...They were used for a short film fight seen... This now has turned into a mini collection of the icons on various garments that we will show next holiday season 2008.

The immediate project involves Simon painting on the raw panels of 16 pair of jeans... Half of these panels will then be sewn together to create his works of art... The remaining pieces will be installed into the walls of the space we are creating for the year of... installation / shop at a new shopping destination called Delay No Mall..

To shed some light on Simon's work I have included, the invitation to a special L.Vuitton event that is happening this week here in Hong Kong.

Simon is being honored this Friday evening as L.V's artist of the year Asia winner. that is no small feet... you can see more of simon's work at the linke below as well...
