Watermelon auctioned for $6,100 in Japan

A black jumbo watermelon weighing 17 lbs was auctioned in Northern Japan this past Friday for $6100.  First, we didn't even know that a black watermelon existed and further more, that is one expensive piece of fruit.  These black watermelons are called Desunke watermelons and they are only grown on the northern Japanese island of Hokkaido.  A great gift for someone with expensive taste.........
